“Durban Jane is one of the smartest and most trusted horses I have ever known. A mischievous joker, he had a heightened awareness for his surroundings, a strong sense of home. I rode him for the first time in the early fall in upstate New York: the smell of leaves and the smoky woods in the air, resin like bursts of sun shining down on us. At first I was quite intimidated — but there was something about him. We slowly overcame many fears and obstacles together as we learned to trust and calm each other.”
Collection I: Connection to Self is inspired by the horses that have taken me on personal journeys — connecting me to myself, others, nature and the world through unspoken and invisible languages. Each fragrance represents horse that has had a pivotal impact on my life and the scent brings to life each of the magical moments.

Celine Barel
“My fragrances are an invitation to the voyage — enter through the looking glass.”
Celine grew up surrounded by the heady aromas of Southern France, and was impassioned by fragrance since childhood. Engaging with blind children at her primary school, she turned to the olfactory world to share experiences and stimulate play. Morocco was another childhood home, and here Celine developed her taste for adventure, tribal cultures and exoticism. These early influences led her to “find beauty in harmonious imperfection” and the world of dreams, imagination and stories.
